WIP - Grey Jay
I used one of my photos as a reference for this painting and I tried to paint him as faithfully as possible. Below is the photo.

I know that usually, one should work on the entire picture adding details and all at once, but I find I have a hard time working that way, maybe with time it will change, but for now, I kinda prefer working on one area, then moving to another... So I just did the shape of the bird roughly and then concentrated on one area, then another... I started with his head:

I moved down to his shoulders and also corrected around his beak.

I did his chest and then started attacking the wings which is what gave me the hardest time and also took the longest.

But in the end I think I did an all right job. Also did his tail that I really like... :)

On to the other wing and finished his back and legs... And the bird is done!

Now I have to make his branch...

One needle at a time... lol

More needles...

Still more needles...

And once that's done, it needs a background... I just re-used the same branch here, just blurred them a bit to add a bit of depth...

This little guy is available in my store.
