A pic in a bead
This tutorial was written for ps6, may work with some small adjustments in other ps versions or in psp

For this tutorial you will need my small pack of Heart beads. What? You don't have them? Well go grab them here, it won't cost you a penny! ;) You will also need a photo of your choice, I used a pic of my daughter with our dog.

This one is really simple!

Make a new document 300X300 at 300ppi.

Copy heartbead01.png and paste it on a new layer in this new document you just created.

Now copy the photo you want to appear in the heart and paste it on a new layer above the heart. Position it so that the subject will be centered in the heart. To see where the heart is, I've reduced to opacity of the photo layer a little. You may also need to resize your photo a bit so it will fit, in order to do this, go to edit/transform/scale and while holding the shift key, reduce the pic by dragging one of the corners.

When you have the photo in place, go back to your heartbead layer and using the magic wand, select the transparent area. Got to Select/modify/expand and enter a value of 10.

Go to Select/feather and enter a value of 15. Without deselecting, go back to your photo layer and click on the delete key 3 times. This should give you something like this:

Change the layer property of the photo layer to Multiply and the opacity to 50%. Duplicate this layer, change the layer property to Overlay and the opacity to 35%.

Make the background invisible and merge the three layers together and you have it! A pic in a bead! :)

The same tutorial using another one of the heartbeads and a different photo.
