Update / Mise a jour
I have been quite busy lately with work, trip to Montreal and then trip to Bathurst. I have a lot of updates for the blog but no time to write it all. I am planning to update everything during the week end. In the meantime I will post a few things that might be of interest.
J’ai été très occupé ces derniers temps avec le travail, un voyage à Montréal, puis un voyage à Bathurst. J’ai beaucoup de mises à jour a faire pour le blog, mais pas le temps de les rédiger. Je prévois tout mettre à jour tout au cours de la fin de semaine. En attendant je vais poster quelques affaires qui sont pas mal interessantes.
Winter day / Journee d’hiver
Today was the perfect winter day, sunny, not too cold, no wind. So we decided to go for a walk.
I took the GPS with me and along the way we did a few geocaches (found 2).
We even ventured on a small trail that had been used by people with snowshoes not so long ago. We didn’t have much problems walking around.
All that to say that we had a good afternoon in the big outdoors.
Aujourd’hui, c’était la journée d’hiver idéale, ensoleillée, pas trop froid et pas de vent. On a donc décidé d’aller se promener un peu.
J’ai pris le GPS avec moi et sur le chemin on a fait un peu de geocaching (trouvé 2).
Nous avons pris un petit sentier dans le bois qui avait été utilisé par des gens en raquettes. On a meme pas eu de probleme a marcher.
Tout ça pour dire que nous avons eu un bon après-midi dans le grand air.

We had a quiet week end. Saturday we went to the farmer’s market just to look around.

There was such a crowd in a so small place… Not used to that anymore. But we had fun, then it was grocery shopping. It is so fun not to have to drive 1.5hrs anymore to do grocery and it is no big deal anymore if you forget anything.
On Sunday we went for a drive, just to explore the area. We took some photos too.
Guess what we found a town named Ripples. So we had to take a photo…

So that is about it for the week-end, started another week at work and it is kind of busy. Just started D.A.R.E. in few schools, actually I am going to be teaching 9 classes. Lucie has started working as well, she is working from home doing web and graphic designs for Chez Maya’s website. So everything is going well on that front.

on a juste ete se ballader pour voir ce que ça avait l’air en fin de compte. Il y avait tellement de gens dans un si petit endroit … On a pris un bain de foule. On n’a plus l’habitude de ca. C’est pas grave on a eu bien du fun. Ensuite on a ete faire la commande d’épicerie. C’est tellement plus plaisant de ne pas avoir a conduire pendant 1.5hrs pour faire l’épicerie et en plus c’est pas grave si on oublie quelques choses.
Dimanche on est allé faire un tour d’auto, juste pour explorer les environs et faire un peu de photos.
Devinez ce qu’on a trouvé? Une ville qui s’appelle Ripples. On n’a pas pu faire autrement que prendre une photo…

Donc c’etait ca la fin de semaine, j’ai commencé une autre semaine de travail et c’est pas mal occupé. Je viens tout juste de commencer D.A.R.E. dans quelques écoles, en fait j’enseigne 9 classes. Lucie a aussi commencé à travailler, elle travaille a la maison a faire du Web design et de la conception graphique pour le site de Chez Maya. Donc tout va bien de ce coté la.
First Week / Premiere Semaine
This is it, my first full week done at my new work place. Things are going well. I have the impression that it is going to be busy, but at least I am doing things that I like.
I haven’t been here for a month and already there is an article in a magazine about me. It’s is a french publication in the Fredericton area.
Other than that we are settling in the house. Just before Christmas we went to Sears and bought 2 new computer desks. At the time we were told that we would have received them by December 27 at the Sears in Oromocto. After lots of complaining and running around we finally got them last week end. The worst part is they had them in Fredericton all this time but no one thought it might be an idea to check there since it’s where we had purchased them. All that to say that I am not shopping at Sears anymore. So last week end was spent putting them together. By the second one we were getting pretty good at it…
So now I am writing this blog from a very nice computer desk.
This is all the news. This coming week-end we are planning to go explore in Fredericton and visit a farmer’s market. I will keep you updated on this.
Ça y est, ma première semaine complète faite a ma nouvelle job. Tout va tres bien. Partis comme c’est la, j’ai l’impression que ca va etre tres occupé, mais au moins, je fais quelque chose que j’aime.
Je ne suis meme pas arrivé ici depuis plus d’un mois que deja il y a un article dans une revue francophone de Fredericton a mon sujet.
A part ca, on est pas mal installé dans la maison. Juste un peu avant Noel on est allé chez Sears et on a acheté 2 nouveaux bureaux d’ordinateur. Au moment de l’achat, le preposé nous avait dit qu’on les recevrait le 27 Décembre au Sears à Oromocto. Après un bon nombre de plaintes et courrir a gauche et a droite on les a finalement recu la fin de semaine derniere, le pire c’est qu’ils etaient au Sears a Fredericton tout ce temps, mais personne avait eu la présence d’esprit de vérifier puisque c’est à ce Sears-là qu’on les a acheté. Tout ça pour dire que je ne suis pas pret de retourner magasiner chez Sears. Tout ca a donné qu’on a passer la derniere fin de semaine a monter des meubles d’ordinateur. Rendu au deuxieme on etait pas mal bon …
J’ecris donc ce blog sur mon nouveau bureau d’ordinateur.
C’est pas mal tout ca pour les nouvelles. En fin de semaine on prevoit aller se promener a Fredericton et visiter le marche agricole, je vais vous laisser savoir comment ca a ete.
New Year and Geocaching / Nouvelle Annee et Geocaching
First of all, Happy New Year everyone, hope all your dreams will come true in 2010.
We had a good holiday season. As in the past Santa Claus was very good with the children (even if they hung him on the lamp)and with us for that matter.
And we ate a lot more than we should have.
We got few new family photos at the same time, it is not everyday that everyone is well dressed so we took advantage of it.
We had the chance to do a little bit of Geocaching. We went for a walk with Loki and found a few.
The day ended up with a snow ball fight. All that took all the energy from Loki who dropped when we returned home.
Along the way we took some nice photos.
Vincent is gone to Newfoundland to celebrate the new year with his friends.
Just before Boxing Day, Lucie’s computer crashed. We ended up going to the store, it was madness, but we were able to get through with a little shoulder and elbows. Since that time Lucie is trying to get all of her softwares back on the new one. I am hearing lot of swearing lately…
Today to start the new year on a good note, we went geocaching again and hunting for covered bridge. We found both of them…. Today was rather cold and windy for geocaching but that didn’t stop us. I would have like to start the new year kayaking, but it is way too cold and besides everything is frozen solid.
Tout d’abord, une tres bonne et heureuse année à tous, en esperant que tout vos rêves se realisent en 2010.
On a eu de bonnes vacances des fetes. Comme d’habitude, le Pere Noel as ete tres genereux avec les enfants (même s’ils l’ont pendu sur la lampe), nous aussi on a ete gaté d’ailleurs.
Et bien sur on a mange bien plus qu’on aurait du…
On en a profité pour prendre quelques photos de famille, c’est pas tout les jours que tout le monde est habillé propre, faqu’on en a profité.
On a eu la chance de faire un peu de Géocaching. On est allé se promener avec Loki et on en a trouver quelques-unes.
On a fini la journee avec une bataille de boules de neige. Tout ca a dépensé toute l’energie de Loki, il s’est écrasé sur le fauteuil en arrivant a la maison.

Vincent est parti a Terre-Neuve pour célébrer la nouvelle année avec ses amis.
Juste apres Noël, l’ordinateur de Lucie a rendu l’ame. On a fini par aller au magasin, c’était la folie furieuse, on a du jouer des coudes et des epaules pour pouvoir y arriver, mais on as eu un nouvel ordinateur. Lucie a passer la majorite du temps depuis a re-installer tous ses programmes. J’ai entendu pas mal de gros mots ces dernier temps…
Aujourd’hui pour commencer la nouvelle année en beaute, on est alle faire du geocaching et a la recherche de ponts couverts. On a trouve les deux…. c’etait un peu froid et venteux pour faire du Geocaching mais cela nous a pas empeché d’y aller. J’aurais aime commencer l’annee en kayak, mais c’est pas mal trop froid et de toute facon tout est gelé.
