Another thing that we had seen in the tourist guide and wanted to do during the summer was to go to the Fredericton Harvest Blues and Jazz Festival. We all went to downtown Fredericton and walked in the streets. They offered some free shows, just sit down on the grass, listen to the music and enjoy. Then we walked some more and found some street musicians. Again we just sat down and enjoyed.

We finished the day by going to the restaurant. The kids really enjoyed their day and wanted to listen to jazz and blues on the way back home. Another day well spent.

Une autre chose que nous avions vu dans le guide touristique et qu’on voulait faire durant l’été, aller au festival de jazz et blues de Fredericton. On est tous allés au centre-ville de Fredericton et s’est promené dans les rues. Il y avait plusieurs spectacles gratuits, il a seulement suffit de s’asseoir sur le gazon, écouter la musique et en profiter au maximum. Ensuite on a ete se promener un peu plus et on a trouvé quelques musiciens de rue. Encore une fois on a eu juste besoin de s’asseoir et d’en profiter.

On a fini la journée au restaurant. Les enfants ont vraiment aimé leur journée et ils voulaient écouter du jazz et du blues dans l’auto sur le chemin du retour. Une autre journée qui s’est tres bien passée.

When we moved to New Brunswick, we got our hands on a New-Brunswick tourism guide. We found several things that we wanted to do in the guide and at the time we said “we will have to remember this for next summer”. One of these things was the Atlantic International Balloon Festival.

The week end of the festival finally arrived and we all went to Sussex, about 1.5 hours drive from home. We arrived early in the afternoon to see the launch of the balloons at around 5:00pm. During the afternoon we walked around the festival ground and we had a look at some old cars that were on display and all of the kiosks that were there.

Unfortunately the launch had been delayed because of the windy conditions. But the children had a good spirit so we decided to wait for a little bit. At around 18:30 the wind died down and the first balloon went up.

This was followed by several others.

We stayed there to watch them as they were filling up the sky, quite a show. We had a real good time and spent a perfect day out.

Lorsque nous sommes déménagés au Nouveau-Brunswick, on avait mis la main sur un guide touristique du Nouveau-Brunswick. On avait trouvé plusieurs choses que nous voulions faire et on s’etait dit “va pas falloir oublier ca pour l’été prochain”. Une de ces choses-là etait le festival international de montgolfières de l’Atlantique.

Elle a ete suivie par plusieurs autres.

On est resté là à les regarder remplir le ciel, tout un spectacle. On a passé un apres-midi parfait.
